Talking to someone who is external to your situation, who is non-judgemental, empathic and understanding can be really helpful when you are feeling stressed, alone and stuck regarding your mental health.
In my therapy, we will work on exercises to help reduce your anxiety and give you helpful coping strategies. We will practise mindfulness, and I will show you how deep breathing can help your body and your mind to become calmer.
It is often an overwhelming process to reach out and ask for help, and to not know what will happen in a therapy session.
